Impact damage

In some instances, it’s not only the Surface Book screen that needs to be replaced/repaired. If you have dropped your Microsoft Surface Book, there could be impact damage to the chassis that the screen recesses into; a new screen cannot be fitted until the Chassis damage has been rectified.

As you can see below, the chassis corner has a slight dent; without that corner being reshaped, the screen is not protected and will flex if it is fitted.

How to find your Surface Book Model number

We require the correct Model number to provide you with an accurate price and turnaround time on your Microsoft Surface Book screen replacement.

Please separate your screen from your Surface Book keyboard. The Model number is printed on the bottom of the Surface Book near the screen connector. See the image below.

Hint: Use your phone’s camera to Zoom in as the print is small.
