You may need a hardware service if you have the following symptoms with no physical damage.

• Your device is Running hot with Fans constantly on.
• Your device is not charging. A cable or socket could be unplugged.
• Your screen flickers or has intermittent lines; there could be dust or loose screen cable.
• Your battery is not charging, or your battery only intermittently charges. The charging socket is misaligned or not securely plugged in.

The cost of the repair was $189.00

We would estimate a 2-3-day turnaround from when the device arrives.

**PLEASE NOTE: There is a chance of total hardware failure with every repair. In some instances, components may separate from the mainboards/logic boards upon disassembly due to the initial damage. This is most common with impact or liquid-damaged devices. (But it is a rarity.)

What is involved in a Laptop Service?

Dust – The Laptop must be disassembled, and any dust must be vacuumed out rather than blown out. If the Laptop is blown out, the dust will embed itself in the numerous small ports, sockets and mechanisms, which can contribute to ongoing issues.

The cooling system – The processor, video cards and heat sinks will be cleaned. New thermal paste will be applied to ensure the heat is correctly transferred into the cooling system.

Alignment – This is a crucial part. Upon reassembly, the unit cannot just be screwed together. Due to the number of small mainboards, sockets, ribbon cables and ports, the machine needs to have even pressure applied to all screws to allow correct alignment of all Laptop components. Only then can each component be tested on its integrity.

Testing – Once the machine is re-assembled, each component, hard disc, video card, memory and processor can be tested for performance and reliability. All software drivers will be updated to the latest manufacturer version to ensure peak performance.

So, if any of the above problems arise… it may just be a hardware service
