Many clients only damage the touchscreen, if the image is clear behind the cracks and there is no discoloration, black or fancy colours then it’s only the digitizer that is damaged. without having to replace the entire LCD screen assembly.

A laptop touch screen repair has various different challenges depending on how the manufacturer has designed the laptop. Some of the touch screens are easily separated from the bezel and the touch screen is replaced. This can be a quite economical repair, compared to a full manufacturer replacement. However, some touch screens are part of the entire LCD assembly. So even though the LCD behind the touch screen is not damaged, its needs to be replaced as one complete unit. This can make it a very expensive repair as it combines both the LCD, digitizer glass and bezel. In some instances, the entire upper half of the laptop needs to be replaced because of how the manufacture has designed the laptop.
When replacing any broken touch screen or laptop LCD, particular care needs to be taken when disassembling, the WiFi antenna, camera and cables run within the bezel or frame of the screen assembly. In some instances, these may need to be replaced as they were damaged by the original impact. This is a time-consuming process as the new cables have to be run in the same places as the old, as to not damage them when the screen is re-assembled.
Many manufacturers will only supply full assemblies which increases the price up and could render laptop beyond economical repair. We are able to source parts from our overseas supply suppliers, which are generally more economical than buying locally.
